 ¶1. (C) Embassy delivered reftel demarche to Oleksander 
Bondarenko, Directorate for Arms Control and Military 
Technical Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 
24, 2009.  Bondarenko said that Ukraine finds the U.S. 
proposal acceptable, and noted that the first week of June 
would be particularly good timing from Ukraine's perspective. 
 He suggested that the U.S. might submit this proposal via 
normal JCIC procedures, no later than 30 days before our 
proposed date.
